Summary: ClickBank University 2.0 is a program with a solid online course with useful tools, which helps people to create digital products and sell it on ClickBank Marketplace and earn revenue. In addition, they also have an online course in affiliate marketing BUT this program is limited and outdated. Lastly, the ClickBank University has an expensive upsell which is purposely NOT revealed to you UPFRONT. So, be noted.

Note: ClickBank University 2.0 is highly recommended to those who want to sell their own digital products. Before anything else, I would like to point out that I have been a member of ClickBank (CB) as a publisher (affiliate) since 2010 and it has given me a thousand opportunities to earn revenues by selling thousands of their merchants’ products.

CB has been a very popular and well-known platform for both merchants and publishers that have earned $3.5Billions for the past years.

I may say that CB has offered a quality and reputable products and services for many years although in the recent years the CB Network has created a negative reputation or impression by advocating and harboring questionable and low-grade products and services.

Some publishers (I haven’t personally encountered one though) claiming that there are some scam products offered in the CB marketplace.

While CB is started to change for the better, in late 2013, they offered their first version of CB University and 3 years later upgraded it to 2.0 version.

If you are a member of CB, you have probably received numerous emails promoting CB University almost desperately.

This is one of the numerous (desperate) emails I am receiving regularly…

I must admit I almost sign up at CB University 2.0, but I’m glad I didn’t. In this CB University 2.0 review, I will reveal what had held me back.

I believe it is very important to expose it to anyone you wants to invest in this program or education whatsoever.

WHAT IS CLICKBANK UNIVERSITY 2.0 ALL ABOUT?

CB University 2.0 is an upgraded edition of online courses to help both merchants and affiliate marketers to use CB and earn money online.

CB is one of the largest affiliate marketplaces and network for selling digital products.

However, CB University 2.0 focuses on helping people to create their own digital products and sell them on ClickBank Marketplace.

CLICKBANK UNIVERSITY 2.0 TRAINING & TOOLS

There are 2 main parts of training you will get by joining CB University 2.0 as shown in above image.  The 8-week affiliate and the 12-week vendor class.

 

This 8-week affiliate course aims to train people how to promote other people’s product on ClickBank as an affiliate.

If this sounds great to you, you might want to check this course first before you join CB University 2.0.

CB University 2.0 offers a decent affiliate course and training. However, the problem is that they emphasize much less on the affiliate marketing itself.

So I would say the training is below average because of the limited and outdated information provided in the program.

The best place to learn a comprehensive affiliate marketing is at Wealthy Affiliate.

This 12-week vendor class is for the people who want to create their own digital products and sell them online, i.e. CB marketplace.

This training program is more focused as it’s reasonably extensive and comprehensive on the entire program.

The core topics are within the 12-week class are:

1. The niche: Brainstorming and researching to determine which product to create.
2. Creating a customer avatar.
3. Creating a digital product.
4. Creating a squeeze/landing page.
5. Creating a sales funnel.
6. Learning how to drive traffic to your landing page.
7. Learning how to get affiliates to promote your product.
8. Learning to scale up your CB Business, etc.

So, it is needless to say that if you have an expertise, talent, specialized knowledge or skills, the CB University 2.0 is highly recommended to you.

The UpSell: ClickBank Builder 2.0

Now, this is what CB University 2.0 will not reveal to you right away in the sales page’s video: The Catch. 

They claim that this software will accelerate your income generation.

CB Builder 2.0 is a useful tool that helps you to easily create professional websites. It has a drag-and-drop tool that makes it easier to build a beautiful page.

If you refer to the image above, you definitely see the catch: the Upsell that costs 2 payments of $297 or $594. It is absolutely too expensive for a tool like this. You can find much cheaper around the internet with the same drag and drop functions for under $70.

The problem is, the training inside the CB University 2.0 is mainly with the use of CB Builder 2.0. So, if you are a beginner you need to purchase it in order to be not left behind the training instructions, despite it is a non-compulsory purchase.

In addition, you need to host the CB Builder 2.0 with ClickBank, which means it will be very difficult to transfer your websites elsewhere in case you decide to leave CB University.

The Pros & Cons 

PRO #1: Powerful tools for the incoming merchants who want to create their own digital product and make money by selling online, i.e. CB Marketplace.

PRO #2: CB University 2.0 offers a 30-day money back guarantee. So, it is basically a risk-free investment. Just remember the deadline though.

CON #1: The program is more focused on vendors. The training for the affiliate is outdated.

CON #2: The expensive Upsell of CB Builder 2.0 for $594. Not everyone can afford or ready to cash out that huge amount of money as a beginner. But it will seemingly make it very necessary for you to purchase because of the CB Builder 2.0 based training program.

CON #3: A lot of training are locked and you can not move on to the next steps, even though you already are ready and have paid for the program.

They claim that it is to make sure that you will not skip any instructions or steps.

This is quite annoying because there are people who fast learner.  Well, in this case, you need to email them and they will help you to unlock the next steps – that’s not so convenient though.

Personally, it looks to me like this is their strategy of delaying progress and keeping people longer in the program. Thus pay the monthly subscription longer and lose the 30-day money back guarantee.

CON #4: The weekly webinar has a very low quality, no structure and messy. Webinars have no particular subject to be tackled on, and you can ask random questions.

CON #5: The training covers only the paid traffic like Facebook advertising, Instagram influencer marketing etc. There is nothing about proper SEO and free social media marketing.

This means that you have to invest much more money in paid traffic, monthly membership, CB Builder 2.0 and other necessary tools, services and resources. So your investment will be like around $1000+++ per year to sum it up.

CON #6: Last but not the least, CB University and CB itself has created an unethical practice of competing with their own merchants in E-business and Internet Marketing.

So… Is ClickBank University 2.0 a Scam? 

ClickBank University 2.0 is absolutely NOT a scam. It is legit and they have competent coaches that can help you to make money online.

However, it is very expensive and the training is somewhat limited especially for the affiliate marketing.

Like mentioned earlier, CB University 2.0 is highly recommended if you are planning to make your own digital products. Otherwise, if you want to earn money by selling other people’s products, you will get more comprehensive training without any Upsell at Wealthy Affiliate.
